A Day in a Life 7.

Alternative Name

I always love to try new receipes. It's kinda funny though, because I'm a very picky eater. Actually, the word very probably doesn't even begin to describe it. I can actually name everything I eat off the top of my head, but I'll spare you that and move onto my receipe for this week.

Chicken Cassoulet

You need:

4 slices of bacon
1/4 cup of all purpose flour
1 3/4 pounds of chicken pieces
2 cooked chicken sausages, cut into pieces
1 chopped onion
Diced red and green peppers
2 cloves of finely chopped garlic
2 cans of Great Northern beans (or any other type of white beans)

Preheat your oven to 350. Cook the bacon and cut into 1 inch pieces.

Pour flour into shallow bowl and season with salt and pepper. Dip your chicken into the flour. Brown your chicken in a skillet and set aside. Lightly brown your sasuage in the same skillet. Set aside.

Add your onion, peppers, garlic, salt and pepper to skillet. Cover and stir for about 5 minutes, adding olive oil to prevent sticking.

Then, put the onion/pepper mixture into a baking dish. Add your beans. Then add your chicken, sasuage and bacon.

Cover, and cook for 40 minutes. Uncover and cook for 15 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.

Serve, eat and enjoy.

And because I don't have a picture, here is a picture I took of a picture in my "Simple Winter Meals" cooking book. Their chicken looks alot better than mine anyway. :)

Tomorrow the girls and I leave for Florida.

So, there will not be any new posts until next Wednesday. While we are away, my husband is painting. I can't wait to see how it comes out and post some pictures! I hope everyone has an amazing week. :)

PS: Please make sure to check out my latest blog post. I was a bully Once. And take the pledge with me to STOP bullying.
